• Peter Igho celebrates 60th birthday

THE Nigerian Air force Mess, along Kofo Abayomi Avenue, Victoria Island, recently witnessed an assemblage of the crème de la crème of the Nigerian society as television icon, Peter Igbo [MFR] rolled out drums to celebrate his 60th birthday.
The man, whose achievements were grandly appreciated with the national honour of the Member of the Federal Republic by ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo was all smiles at the elaborate event as friends and colleagues spoke gloriously of his envious accomplishments.
The event, which came with much pomp and pageantry, had in attendance members
of the political class, business moguls and showbiz stars.
Presidents of the Actors Guild of Nigeria and PMAN, Ejike Asiegbu and Tim
Mac Eseli led delegations of their respective associations to the venue in
honour of the broadcast guru.
Mr. Igho, currently the Executive Director, Marketing of the Nigerian Television Authority [NTA], has had a glorious carrier with the station that spanned over three decades, which witnessed his direct supervision of scores of first class network drama, documentary, variety and drama programmes.
Some of the landmark programmes are “Mirror In The Sun”, “Things
Fall Apart”, “New Masquerade” and “Behind the Clouds.”
Others include; “Giant In The Sun”, “African Pot”
“Sunny Side Of Life” and so many others.
