NFF demands prompt report from match commissioners

THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has charged Match Commissioners to keep to the 48-hour schedule of filing match reports. Addressing match commissioners at the 2008-09 soccer seminar organised by the football federation, Sani Lulu, the NFF President, stressed the importance of providing accurate reports of matches. He threatened to wield the big stick on those who failed to carry out their assignments diligently. "Failure by any match commissioner to comply with the rules will attract sanctions because we will not accommodate past shortcomings," said Lulu. He added that the league would improve and match commissioners' integrity would not be questioned if they did their work well. "Uphold your integrity in the course of discharging your duty as this will give credence to the quality of service you are delivering to the nation." Lulu urged them to take the opportunity offered by the seminar to update their knowledge. "This will empower you with what is obtainable internationally for enhanced performances that would be appreciated by all,"he said.
