UEFA Champions League: Scolari targets clean sweep

LUIZ Felipe Scolari has fired out a warning to Chelsea’s rivals, claiming his players are hungry for success on four fronts.

The Blues have made a bright start to their domestic and European campaigns and Scolari has made it clear he is looking for a clean sweep of silverware.

The Carling Cup is well down the list of priorities for many of Chelsea’s rivals, but Scolari says the players are desperate to figure.

“I’m seeing the players fight and help each other,” said the Brazilian. “When they are losing, they fight for each other and talk on the pitch and in the dressing room. That is the spirit I want for Chelsea.

“All games are important to Chelsea – friendlies, league games, Carling Cup, FA Cup, Champions League.
“I think differently from other coaches because I believe that when the players play, it is not a job. It is because they like to play, not for money and responsibility. They like to play and when you like your job every day is fantastic.
“When you ask the players if they want to play in the game, they say yes.”
