Zenith Basketball League: First Bank vows ruthless game

By LUKMAN OLOGUNRO

FOLLOWING their invincible performance so far in the Zenith Female Premier Basketball League, high- riding First Bank Basketball Club has said that they are not going to show mercy to their opponents in the third and final phase holding at the National Stadium, Lagos.

The Adewunmi Aderemi coached side has won all its matches in the 10 team league demonstrating the experiences gained through the years of constantly representing the country in international and continental competitions.

Predictably, the Lagos based club triumphed in its opening two matches but Aderemi told National Daily that he still wants her wards to go all out in their remaining games.

“We've trained hard for this league such that our winning average should not be less than 40 points. We observed that all our opponents stepped up their game whenever they confront us but we are not in anyway bothered about that. Such thing is what we always expect.”
Aderemi, an assistant coach of the female national team, thumbs up the performance of perennial rivals, Dolphins and Immigration. He also commended the efforts of the likes of Sunshine Queens and Delta Queens. The series began in Abuja in March while the second phase was held in Asaba in May
