Goje lays foundation of N15m Resource Centre

FOUNDATION stone of the N15 million Resource Center which is being financed by E.U Prime at the Gombe State School of Health Technology, Kaltungo, has now been laid.

It was performed by Governor Muhammad Danjuma Goje, in Gombe.
The prototype resource center is planned to be fully equipped with computers, Internet access, generating plant and latest books and resources on Primary Health Care.

Speaking during the foundation laying ceremony, the team leader and National Programme Manager, E.U Prime project, Dr. Abbah Zakari Umar enumerated other support which had been rendered to the state to include 12-4 WD vehicles and 55 motorcycles to help with immunization outreaches as well as monitoring.
Similarly, he said, EU Prime presented the state with a 60 KVA generator, cold room, solar refrigerators, ice-lined refrigerators and ice pack freezers for storing of vaccines in the state.

It has also trained over 2,000 officials on immunization issues as well as exposed others through study tours abroad to countries such as Malaysia, Zambia, Egypt and Tanzania where studied immunization best practice.
