CNPP inaugurates new exco

NEW leadership of the Bayelsa State chapter of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has been inaugurated, thereby obliterating the endless factional crisis within the body in the state.

In his acceptance speech, the state Chairman, Hon. Diepreye Evans Dede, reiterated the essential role which the conference played in the vanguard for the clarion call for transparency and good governance in the country.
He said the CNPP ''will continue to praise the ruling government in the state whenever it is on the right track , as well as will not hesitate to spank the government and give alternative solutions when the ship of the state goes in a wrong direction.''

He said the body was willing to sacrifice its sweat for the people to realize the dividends of a good democracy and the manifestation of the Bayelsa Project.

He called on members of his council and the parties to close rank in order to work together for genuine liberation of the people. Commending Governor Timipre Sylva for the cooperation he had exhibited towards the activities of the conference in the state, Dede noted that there was so much work yet to be done in the area of provision of basic amenities for the citizenry.
