Hear Me Speak talk show takes off

By AHAOMA KANU

COMING from Ebony Eyes Productions in the United Kingdom which is known for producing contents that promotes education, empowerment and entertainment for African youths on the continent and in the Diaspora is a brand new talk show, Hear Me Speak that will showcase Africa in all its social, cultural and geographical diversities.

According to KC Kalu, host of the show, “Hear Me Speak will show to the world the thinking and aspirations of Africa's young personalities,” she said.
Speaking recently during a media brief to launch the program which had already started airing in the United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom, Kalu said the objectives of Hear Me Speak is to give youths an opportunity to air their views on some of the happenings in the society.
“You will find out that youths all over the world are meant to be seen and not heard and this is rather unfortunate. What we are trying to achieve with Hear Me Speak is to give the youths an opportunity to let the leaders know how they think about some of the policies that affects them.”

The content of the programme is designed in a way that topical issues are discussed and the participants between the ages of 15 to 30 will be given a chance to be part of the discussions.

Kalu said that the show is fashioned after popular TV Talk Show Queen, Oprah Winfrey Show but with an African content.
“It will be like Oprah's show but we will be discussing issues that concerns and affects us as Africans.”

Hear Me Speak will be produced all over Africa starting having started from Nigeria and will be inspirational, thrilling, entertaining and educational.
“It is a programme with significant relevance to everyday lives of families, educators and policy makers and will discuss issues like sexual orientation, polygamy, fashion, Female Genital Mutilation, human and drug trafficking, ambition, HIV/AIDS, Famous Faces, Music, relationship and so many more. No topic is off limit. Hear Me Speak will have content that will disperse the aged old adage that the young should be seen and not heard,” KC said.
According to Ebony Eyes Productions, Hear Me Speak being aired in the United Kingdom on OBE TV (Sky Digital Channel 204) on Mondays at 9pm and Fridays at 1:30pm; in Nigeria on Hi TV (Hi-Life Channel) on Thursdays at 7pm and on MBI on Wednesdays at 5: 30pm while Colours TV (Dish Network Channel 9407) will broadcast the series in the United States of America.
